We have some spring branches from a spruce pine tree hanging over our yard. I am wanting to cut off about 20 ft above the ground to give some less blockage to get more light into our yard. They are just hanging too low for our comfort.

Landscaping wall breaks down an endless expanse of garden, and create small sections that are not just visually separated from each other, but also aesthetically pleasing. A large stretch of green can look bland and uninspiring. Garden retainer walls can help breakdown the monotony of a large garden, and provide visual relief. You can also use masonry garden walls to add a different dimension to your garden. For instance, in case of a low lying garden you can bring about a feeling of depth by installing brick walls. You can also use landscaping walls to separate varying garden features like lawns, flower beds or patios.
A low lying flat garden can be made to seem higher than it is by adding landscaping walls. Large patches of green can be demarcated, and you can also use masonry garden walls to separate two different landscape features. Garden retainer walls can be made of stone, bricks and even timber. Your professional landscape architect will be able to design walls that complement your garden beautifully. For instance, a Zen inspired garden will be enhanced by the presence of low timber or bamboo walls.
